너무 의롭게 살지도 말아라.

전도서 7장  

15   헛된 세월을 사는 동안에, 나는 두 가지를 다 보았다. 의롭게 살다가 망하는 의인이 있는가 하면, 악한 채로 오래 사는 악인도 있더라.

16   그러니 너무 의롭게 살지도 말고, 너무 슬기롭게 살지도 말아라. 왜 스스로를 망치려 하는가?

17   너무 악하게 살지도 말고, 너무 어리석게 살지도 말아라. 왜 제 명도 다 못 채우고, 죽으려고 하는가?

18   하나를 붙잡되, 다른 것도 놓치지 않는 것이 좋다. 하나님을 두려워하는 사람은 극단을 피한다.

19   지혜는 슬기로운 한 사람을, 성읍을 다스리는 통치자 열 명보다 더 강하게 만든다.

20   좋은 일만 하고 잘못을 전혀 저지르지 않는 의인은 이 세상에 하나도 없다.

21   남들이 하는 말에 마음을 쓰지 말아라. 자칫하다가는 네 종이 너를 욕하는 것까지 듣게 된다.

22   너 또한 남을 욕한 일이 많다는 것을 너 스스로 잘 알고 있다.

성실하게 착하게 살기 위해 노력하고 하나님의 자비를 의지하자

지나치게 완벽한(안전한) 삶을 추구하면

그 뜻을 이루지 못하고 우울증이나 불안증 같은 마음의 병을 얻을 수 있다. 

주님은 십자가 고낭과 부활을 통하여 우리에게 의를 선물로 준 것이다, 신자는 의롭게 살 수 있도록  새롭게 창조 된 것이 아니다.  

신자는 성실하고 착하게 살기 위하여 힘써야 한다. 또한 신자가 어리석거나 악한 일을 하는 것은 극복해야할 사안이기도 하지만 또한 살아가는 자연의 이치이다. 

에베소서 2장 10 우리는 하나님의 작품입니다. 선한 일을 하게 하시려고, 하나님께서 그리스도 예수 안에서 우리를 만드셨습니다. 하나님께서 이렇게 미리 준비하신 것은, 우리가 선한 일을 하며 살아가게 하시려는 것입니다.

요한일서 1장 8   우리가 죄가 없다고 말하면, 우리는 자기를 속이는 것이요, 진리가 우리 속에 없는 것입니다.

Ecclesiastes 7  

15 During my wasted years, I saw both things. While there are righteous people who live righteously and then perish, there are also wicked people who live wickedly for a long time.

16 So do not live too righteously, nor do you live too wisely. Why do you want to destroy yourself?

17 Do not live too wickedly, nor do you live too foolishly. Why can't I fulfill my mandate and why do I want to die?

18 It is better to hold on to one thing and not lose sight of the other. Those who fear God avoid extremes.

19 Wisdom makes one wise man stronger than ten rulers over a city.

20 There is not a single righteous person in this world who only does good deeds and does not commit any wrongdoing.

21 Don’t pay attention to what others say. If you are not careful, you will even hear your servant swearing at you.

22 You yourself know very well that you have often cursed others.

Let us strive to live a good life with sincerity and rely on God’s mercy.

If you pursue an overly perfect (and safe) life,

you are unable to achieve your goal, you may suffer mental illness such as depression or anxiety. 

The Lord gave us righteousness as a gift through His suffering on the cross and resurrection. 

Therefore.....

Believers were not created as new beings who are possible to live righteously. 

Believers must strive to live sincerely and good. Also, believers doing foolish or evil things is something that must be overcome, but it is also a natural law of life.

Ephesians 2:10 We are God’s handiwork. God created us in Christ Jesus to do good works. God has prepared this in advance so that we can live and do good deeds.
